Run by TJ and Cinde, good people! Not the cheapest option, but a bit of luxury hurt no one for a couple of nights especially after two days of travelling. Amazing setting right on the beach overlooking the surf. Good base to surf Langosta, Playa Grande and waves to the north, Witches Rock and Ollies Point.

Run by Andreas and Dee. Friendly hostel in jungle/beach setting,good beach break.
MAL PAIS,PLAYA CARMEN, TRANQUILLO BACKPACKERS.
Minute walk to best banks/reef in Playa Carmen and loads of secret spots if you search on both sides of the peninsular,Points, reefs, beachies.
Costa Rica is the 'Rich Coast!' genuinely cool people, crazy wildlife and good consistant waves. Its not Indo! but if your like me and like fun waves, long points and intermediate reefs(that can get big!)then go to Costa Rica, Pura Vida!
